The Foundation
Not all tension is where it seems to be. A tight jaw can be a throat-chakra signal, not a jaw problem. Restlessness that no amount of sleep fixes can sit in the sacral or solar plexus centre. Ayurvedic and yogic tradition has mapped this territory for thousands of years through the seven chakras — energy centres running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, each governing a distinct physical and emotional function.
Chakra Sutra takes that map and makes it usable. Rather than asking you to self-diagnose from a spiritual glossary, we’ve built a guided path: seven chakras, seven states of imbalance you might recognise, and the specific Sovarel rituals suited to each.
The Five Therapies
Root Chakra
(Base of spine — grounding, security, stability) You might feel: scattered, anxious, physically unsteady, disconnected from your body. Recommended ritual: Sthiratha (Deep Tissue) paired with the Grounding Ritual reflexology work — precise foot pressure and warm oils that root the body back into itself.
Book MuladharaSacral Chakra
(Lower abdomen — fluidity, creativity, emotional flow) You might feel: emotionally blocked, rigid, low in creative energy. Recommended ritual: Amrit Kund (Jacuzzi Hydrotherapy) — water-based therapy that works directly with this centre’s elemental association.
Book SvadhisthanaSolar Plexus Chakra
(Upper abdomen — willpower, confidence, strength) You might feel: depleted, low in confidence, physically weak or fatigued. Recommended ritual: Panchakarma Potli or Sports Therapy — heat and deep, purposeful pressure that restores a sense of physical strength and agency.
Book ManipuraHeart Chakra
(Chest — connection, compassion, openness) You might feel: closed off, isolated, carrying tension across the chest and shoulders. Recommended ritual: Abhyanga (Indian Sacred Oil Ritual) — full-body nourishing therapy, or a Yugma couples’ session for guests healing this centre through shared connection.
Book AnahataThroat Chakra
(Throat — expression, communication, truth) You might feel: unable to voice what you need, a literal tightness in the neck and jaw. Recommended ritual: Dhupa Snana (Steam Therapy) followed by Shiro Abhyanga (head, neck & shoulder massage).
Book VishuddhaThird Eye Chakra
(Between the brows — clarity, intuition, mental focus) You might feel: foggy, indecisive, mentally overloaded. Recommended ritual: Gandha (Aroma Journey) — aromatherapy-led work specifically chosen for its effect on mental clarity.
Book AjnaCrown Chakra
(Top of head — stillness, transcendence, connection beyond the self) You might feel: spiritually disconnected, restless even in stillness, unable to truly switch off. Recommended ritual: A full session in Rāga, our sound-and-sensorial therapy suite, where breath, touch, and sound are aligned for the deepest available stillness on our menu.
Book SahasraraGuests may choose a single chakra-focused ritual, or work with our team to design a sequential multi-visit journey — moving from root to crown across several sessions — best suited to Ekanta or Kosha membership guests who visit regularly.
Chakra Sutra is a curated wellness framework that matches specific Sovarel therapies — massage, water, heat, and sound rituals — to each of the body’s seven chakras, helping guests choose treatment based on where imbalance is actually held, not just general relaxation.
Anxiety and a sense of being ungrounded are commonly associated with the root chakra (Muladhara); we recommend starting with a grounding, deep-pressure ritual such as Sthiratha combined with reflexology-style foot work.
No. Chakra Sutra uses the seven-chakra map as a structured guide to select real, physically effective Ayurvedic therapies — massage technique, heat, water, and aromatherapy — each of which has direct therapeutic value independent of the framework used to choose it.
